Sometimes computers leave you scratching your head....

When looking over my last photo session, I kept coming back to one picture. Something just didn't look right. So I opened my files that I downloaded to a disk for the client to see if it looked any different.
Difference?  I think a big difference.  Something must have happened when uploading it to my blog.  The picture on the right is what I have saved in my files.  WIERD!  Sorry about the rant, but had to correct this, it was bugging me!

Inouye Family: Utah Family Photographer

Had the awesome priviledge of shooting this cute family.  Ula has an amazing story as she has recently lost 75 lbs.  She is an inspiration to me and many others.  She has a positive, confident attitude that is contagious.  Devon is perfect for her.  He compliments her in every way.  Together they have "Baby" who is the perfect combination of the two.  Although, we had limited light and it was FUHREEEZING, we managed to pull some good ones out of them.  I could only post a few of them as there were many that were great!  Thanks Inouyes for the fun and easy hour of beauty!

This is a sleigh load of gifts for one terrific mama!

Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (link to: http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family? To have great health.  We had a rough year with three of our children having 6 surgeries.  Money is tight, but our good health and happiness is what we cherish now.

2. What is your Christmas morning / Hanukkah Nightly tradition? The kids wake up wearing their new pjs that they opened up Christmas Eve.  We invite great grandma and grandparents over.  We gather around the tree and have a prayer.  We then trade gifts that we bought each other first and then dig into Santa's gifts.  This is all followed by our traditional breakfast of strawberry crepes while listening to Christmas music, laughing and sharing in the spirit of Christmas.

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be? To go away to a fitness resort and spa to just concentrate on ME!

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money? We take our children to provide service to those in need.  Whether it be visiting a nursing home and singing carols, to soup kitchen work, to visiting widows in our neighborhood.  We like to have our children think of others first at this time of year.

5. What games did you play with your family growing up? We played all kinds of board games and we loved card games.  The nightly games of hide and seek were the best.

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?  My Mom always made Christmas goodie trays to take to friends and family.  I still do that with my kids.  Also, my mom made all of our stockings.  I made exact replicas for my children too.

7. Where would you go for a Christmas/Hanukkah-away-from-home trip?  On a cruise.

8. Check out GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year? 1. XBox 360 with Kinect  2. Just Dance 2  3. Nintendo DS XL for Mommy!

Kids in the canyon

Saying good bye to Fall colors....

So we decided to head to the canyons on this brisk, cool Halloween day.  I wanted to see if the fall leaves were gone.  My kids know that when Mom wants to go take pictures, we are going to take pictures!  So we piled into the SUV and scoped out spots in the canyon.  It was sad to see that most of the leaves were on the ground due to the wind and storms this past week.  But it is that time of year when we anticipate the snow starting to fly and the white powdery stuff to stick to the ground.

I love fall and all the bright colors it brings....you didn't stay around too long this year!

The Adams Family

I really want to thank this family for allowing me to capture them in portraits.  This was a last minute deal that I will be forever greatful for.  I think the love they share between them is apparent.  With their oldest "flying the coop" soon, I can only be appreciative to capture these last moments together.  I love what I do...
On a side note...I am sitting here singing the theme song for the Adams Family show....."da-na-na-na *snap*snap*"   I know I am wierd.  This is how happy looking at these pictures makes me!  Thanks again to the Adams Family....everyone sing with me.....

Jordan: Model Potential

He will hate me for this...but I think Jordan is a cutie.  He is one of our favorite people.  He has personality, wit and charm.  There is never a dull moment with him, even when taking pictures!  So what do you think girls?  I say he should look into it!  Especially with the turquoise eyes!
